Van & LCV Cambelts

Your van’s cambelt (or timing belt) plays a vital role in synchronising the engine’s internal components, ensuring valves and pistons move in perfect harmony.

If the belt fails, it can cause severe and costly engine damage.  That’s why at Lushington Commercial Vehicles in Westham, Pevensey, we offer professional cambelt inspection, replacement, and maintenance services for light commercial vehicles (LCVs) up to 3.5 tonnes – hybrids and plug-in hybrids where applicable.

Our experienced technicians follow each manufacturer’s recommended replacement intervals and use genuine or OEM-quality cambelt kits, including new tensioners, pulleys, and water pumps where required.  This ensures your van’s engine continues to run smoothly, efficiently, and reliably.

If you’re unsure when your cambelt was last replaced, we can check service records or inspect the system to advise whether it’s due.  Common signs of cambelt wear include ticking or squealing noises, rough idling, or difficulty starting – all indicators it’s time to book your van in before it becomes a bigger problem.

We work on leading makes such as Ford, Peugeot, Citroen, Renault, Vauxhall, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen, and every job is backed by a 12-month or 12,000-mile guarantee.
